Another perfect day at Summerheights Rules and Etiquette

Adherence to local rules and proper golf etiquette is mandatory by all golfers and guests... it simply makes the game safe and more enjoyable for everyone! We ask that you take a moment to read the following rules governing good conduct.

A dress code of neat and proper appearance is in effect. Complete golfing attire is recommended. Shirts are to be worn at all times. No sports cleats, street shoes, cut off shorts, halter or tank tops or track pants permitted.

Summerheights is a non-metal spike golf course

It would be appreciated if golfers were at the course ½ hour before their designated tee off time to avoid delays.

L.C.B.O. regulations do not permit the consumption of alcohol on the premises other than that which is purchased at the clubhouse bar, halfway house or from the on course beverage cart. Golfers are not permitted to bring any alcoholic beverages or coolers onto golf course property.

Seasonal Golfers and Green Fee Players are responsible and liable for all damages to Summerheights Golf Links Ltd. property.

Seasonal passes are nontransferable and same may be revoked and all privileges withdrawn at any time by Summerheights Golf Links Ltd. without any reason given. There are no refunds, partial or otherwise.

Summerheights Golf Links Ltd. shall not be liable for personal injury to Seasonal Golfers or their guests or to any persons playing under green fee arrangements, or responsible for personal property of any nature whatsoever, belonging to members, their families, their guests or green fee players, which may be lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, while on golf club premises.

To ensure the pleasure of all golfers on the courses foursomes are required to finish each hole in no more than 15 minutes (maximum of 4¼ hours per round).

Course marshalls are authorized to see that all golfers keep up with the group ahead.

Course Marshals have been instructed to:

  • Ensure the first groups on the course play in under four hours.
  • Following groups will be required to play par 4's and 5's in a maximum of 15 minutes.
  • First Slow Play Violation - the group will be asked to catch up to the group ahead and will be given a "speed of play" card.
  • Second Slow Play Violation - the group will be asked to pick up their balls and catch up to within one stroke of the group ahead. Then, they may continue to play.
  • Third Slow Play Violation - the group may be asked to leave the course.
When a slow group is asked to leave the course the following refund will be given:
  • If group completed 4 holes or less: "rainchecks" for 18 holes
  • If group completed from 5 to 13 holes: "rainchecks" for 9 holes
  • If group has completed more than 13 holes no refund
  • May be modified by host club.
